The BLADERUNNER ISO-FORCE is an exceptionally short axle-to-axle length bow, so some special considerations are necessary with respect to your front sight and peep sight set-up. The differences in how your sight system is set-up from that of conventional bows relate to several aspects of the BLADERUNNER’S unique geometry and performance as well as your individual shooting form. First, you will need to determine whether you are most comfortable with a high anchor position where your string hand falls somewhere on your cheek at full draw, or a low anchor where your string hand falls below your jaw. Secondly, you will need to decide if you will be using a peep sight on your bowstring. Of course, the peak draw weight that you choose as well as your draw length and the arrow weight that you select will come into play in your set-up as well. The place to begin, of course, is with the initial mounting of your front sight and your peep sight (if used). Most bow sights, whether pin type or other type, have a reasonable range of adjustability. With respect to windage, or side-to-side adjustment, your pins or other sight alignment means should always start in a position that places them in perfect alignment with the bowstring/arrow/centerline of the riser (your arrow rest should already be set up for perfect centershot). Most likely, this is the windage setting that will be fixed in order to obtain the best results. However, because there can be differences in the eyesight and/or anchor form of different archers, some minor windage adjustment may be necessary. You may find that the final windage setting places your pins where they can be observed as being just visible to one side or the other of the bowstring when viewed along the centerline, but you will never find the pins to be positioned dramatically offset as you will normally find on most conventional bows. Where your elevation setting is concerned, use the following criteria: If you use a low anchor, begin with your front sight ring positioned near the centerline of the sight extension arm. If you use a high anchor, begin with your front sight ring positioned a little below the centerline of adjustment. In either case, your peep sight setting (if used)will affect the final location of your front sights. An important consideration with respect to your peep sight is that, regardless of your anchor position, it is necessary to locate the peep somewhat higher above the nock point on the bowstring than on conventional bows. This is due to the fact that the angle of the bowstring at full draw on the Once your front sight and peep sight are mounted and positioned as described, you can begin the process of shooting to determine the elevation adjustments in order to position your pins for various yardages. With your peep sight positioned correctly, you should find that the range of elevation adjustment on your sight easily accommodates the pin settings for the desired yardages. If, however, you have an unusually high anchor point, or your are shooting heavier, slower arrows, or a combination of the above, you may find that your front sight requires a much lower setting and that it falls below the range of elevation adjustment on your particular sight. If this is the case, you will need to obtain one of our HIGH ANCHOR SIGHT MOUNTING PLATES that allows the sight extension arm to be mounted lower on the riser. This application should allow you to obtain an acceptable elevation adjustment range. The BLADERUNNER ISO-FORCE produces a much flatter arrow trajectory than what you are accustomed to with other bows. Depending on your arrow selection and peak draw weight, you will most likely discover that either fewer pins or much closer pin settings are required to cover the range of yardage that you shoot. Additionally, you will most likely find that you are able to achieve amazing accuracy at greater ranges than what you have been accustomed to in the past with other bows. And, because the BLADERUNNER ISO-FORCE produces such extraordinarily exterior ballistics and terminal performance, you can achieve these superior results without the need to pull |
